Stage 2 block deck height

Can someone tell me the stock deck height of 153 block. Also will any crank work in a on center block or will it have to be a wide journal crank ? Thanks

A narrow journal crank will work. I believe the deck height is 9.535.

You might be able to get away with an off center rod with low hp, but if your buying new, why not buy on center rods. K1 had an on center narrow journal rod at one time. Molnar may have them also.

the wide journal will give you more bearing surface area. with a standard deck height motor , you will probably be looking in the range of a 6.300 to a 6.5" rod. My Cunningham rods are 6.350 and wide journal
