stall

I am finally doing tranny and convertor. I have the stk turbo now but will upgrade to a PT54 a little later. What stall? I was thinking a 3000 would work with both(stocker will spool like mad)or is it not enough for the 54?
Should I replace the tranny cooler or flush it?

Ed Baker runs good with 3400 stall. He thinks it's optimal for that turbo.

However the 54 is similar to the 62 that I have which is okay with my 3200 stall converter.

I would think 3200 min. 3500 max. would be the range.

Just my .02.

On the GN I have a 3000 and the stocker and it spools great.

You could get by with a 3200-3400 for a while I would think saving the money for the turbo.
