Lots of tire smoke does 2 things...
1. Cuts tire life dramatically.
2. Increases the tire guys revenue stream.
When you see tires with the white letters burned brown, you know they've been beat on for a smoke show....
We did LOTS of tire tests for M/T. 10* above track temp appeared to work the best.
As mentioned, WFO to instant zero throttle plays hell with the con rods. Not good on the crank, either. The even fire cranks don't have the best journal overlap.
