Guys I cleaned out the basement a few weeks ago and well lets just say more then half of it is still packed full of toys :D I have tons of Star Wars toys mostly action figures & even more Starting Lineup sports figures..... I still have my old stuff from the 70's and plan on keeping it unless I get a killer offer but I gotta get rid of this crap! I bet I have over 1,000 Lineups in package. I purchased all this stuff over the past years and have no interest in it anymore..... I want it gone so I can buy more parts :) I know you guys prolly dont care but any ideas how I can get this junk sold  eBay is just way to low in prices and I would never even get my $$ back....

List what you have. I have about 1000 lineups & ols SW toys too. The market is pretty bad on the lineups, ebay has hurt it. SW are always sellable. For some lineup insight, go to slu.net. I would like to know what you have though.

No problem, Im glad someone else knows what im talking about here :D I am going to go through everything I have over the next few weeks and when i get a list together, I will email you a copy.

The one thing that comes to the top of my head is a complete 1988 Dallas Cowboys team case NONE of the figures have ever been removed from the case, I only opened it tomake sure they were in side, That is prolly the best SLU item I have, I have other very rare ones also... I will let you know

i am in the same boat have tons and tons of line up's and starwars and baseball cards im trying to unload ...let me no were u sell yours at???? i just want what i paid for them over the years!!!!!

Star Wars

I buy alot of Star Wars stuff.

If you guys are talking about POTF2 ( post 1995 ) stuff you will hard a real hard time moving any of it for close to what you paid. There just isnt a real high $ market for that stuff anymore with the exception of a few pieces. I have tons of it and would love to sell it even for what I paid for it to buy more older stuff. Just isnt going to happen unfortunately. If you want to sell it locally I would recommend putting an add in the paper and hope an uninformed dealer calls you.

If we are talking about "vintage " ( 1985 and older ) stuff I would be more than happy to talk to you about buying the stuff as I like to buy collections. I have a real good Ebay rating. The orginal stuff is selling for what it used to in the last 10 years..... Ebay kinda flooded the market on that but it still does ok . The market has really swung to high end stuff that is MIB .

I figured the new stuff was going to be trouble, I am in no need for the cash so it is not hurting me to keep it, I just want to clean out the basement :D I like my vintage ones to much to sell, I figure they should hold value good.

88-89 football lineups are still big bucks, and so are select pieces of other sports. If you want to sell them, I recommend taking your most valuable pieces that are in the best possible condition, and getting them graded, the value will go up quite a bit if the older stuff is graded 90 or better. After hockey came out, Kenner flooded the market every year, theres a lot of hoarded umopened pieces, not so much of the older stuff.
SW stuff from pre 86 is still big bucks, & will be for a long time. Everyone and their cousin will buy it from you. Most desirable are the original 12 backs, & POTF figures. Post 86, more commonly known as 95 POTF have some figures worth $$, its mostly oddities (errors). I had about 30 of them, and sold them as a lot years ago on ebay, and didnt lose anything on them. I didnt even check for the long/short sabers, or markings.
Let me know if you need more info. I would buy some old SW (I have pretty much all I need), and some older SLUs, but may not give you top dollar. Join slu.net and ask them about them, they will want you to be specific about what you have, and you will get offers more than likely, or at least know what to ask for them. Most common pieces, are better off as BB gun targets. I did this years ago with 89 football tim browns & keith jacksons, about 15 MIP, I shot them all up. Im kicking myself for that one. :(

Not to steal your thread but if anyones intrested I have all of the Star Wars action figures in mint condition from the original release date of Episode 1.

Make offer, can send pics. Thanks

As an afterthought, you could always donate some of it to some Childrens Charity and claim it as a tax writeoff....plus it will make you feel good too !!! I'm sure the kids would love it.

I think you have to do that by the end of this year do get a full deduction. Next year it's going to be "market value" which could be way less than you paid for them.

I'm not an accountant, so don't take my word for it.

That is a good though :) I may do that with the ones that are not worth much, They dont care about the value they just would like a new toy im sure.
