Ok folks, I am ready to start my '79 V-6 turbo on a engine stand. Since I did not build the engine, I want to get it running before it goes into my '28 Essex. The question, do I need to have the ESC all hooked up to run the engine? I don't have one and really don't want to spend the $125 for one unless the engine runs. Thanks
Dan

If you disconnect the waste gate you won't build boost so it shouldn't be an issue. This is the simpler way to do it.

that is the ESC detonation sensor. The controller is $325!!!! I want to make sure the motor runs great before I spend other $$$$
