Startup procedure after storage

[STAGE 2]

The big bad buick has been sitting at grandma's house for about 6 months. The battery will obviously need a charge, but what else should be done before or during this first startup to protect the engine.

I would disconnect the orange ECM power wire near the battery and crank the car over until the oil pressure comes up on the guage, or if no guage crank it till the oil light goes off.

deffinitly dissconect the orange wire like mark says and let it crank a few times it should also be done after each oilchange and change fuel filter and add a can of 104 octane boost if the gas has been sitting in tank for 6 months good luck
