Anyone know a place to buy online or have a steering column collar they want to sell? Preferably new.

Thanks in advance.

Are you talking about an anti-theft collar? If so I have also been looking. I was told to buy the billet aluminum collar which I can't seem to find. I can only find the steel collar which are very thin. I have seen the steel ones on ebay. Still looking for aluminum. Not much online for collars. I will probably have to contact a column shop.

Steadfast Column or Kirban

Hey guys i will have either a steadfast column lock or kirban collar forsale within a week or so, brand new. I ordered both to see which one i liked more. I will keep you guys posted

Yes the collar! After getting my turbo T stolen, it was recovered in good shape because they towed it away, but the column was broken and it took a lot of effort to get the car back to original condition. Mucho thanks to Wayne and Dean Nelson for helping me out with rebuilding the entire column
Wayne has over 15 years of experience with probably a decade rebuilding these columns and it still took over an hour to do.

I never heard of a billet aluminum collar, I'd love to have one or two or three. Do let me know if you come across a vendor. That would be really kewl.

My car was also recently stolen. It sure was a pain to put a column together as you well know. The guy who helped me had a billet aluminum collar but it was too big for my column. The only way to get it off once installed is to cut it off. I was told that the steel collars are easier to get off. I will let you know if I find one. I am going to place a call to the column shop this week and see what they say. Take care, Kevin

I put on a Steadfast unit and it is pretty stout. I had about 4 sets of keys made before I put it on just in case. I am not looking forward to the day it has to come off. The thing I like most is it is always on the car thus very easy to live with. They have both chrome and black (which can be painted). I painted mine GN grey which makes it virtually disappear unless you are looking to bust up the column :)

Hi Chris,

I've got a Steadfast Collar still in the box. I bought two of em a while back along with extra parts in case you ever take the collar off (I had mine powdercoated red).

I'm located in SF if you're interested. I spoke to Dave with the GNX a few weeks ago and he tells me that the Norcal Buick group has a website/mailing list?. Info on the site would be great.
