I'm a little confused about steering ratios and what they mean. Prolly like all Buicks my steering seems awfully slow. My last car was a '94 Lightning and it's steering felt much quicker. Was the truck overassisted ? If I remember the truck had 15:1 steering ratio. What does the Buick have ? Is there a way to speed up the steering ? I only have a problem with quick left/right changes.
according to what i found the GN has a variable ratio box 13.97-1 overall ratio ,,and 3.64 lock to lock ,
the GN /montecarlo is a great steering box and was sought after as a replacement for other GM cars .if you realy want more you could swap in another GM box
