Brand new $5000 engine starts knocking 30 minutes after it's fired. This is what I have been spending every damn cent on since last December, saving for every little part, and it starts knocking 30 minutes after it's started, now we get to tear it apart and do it all over again. Motor was previously owned and fully built with all good parts, cannot figure out what happened but the rod bearing were fine, all the mains were terrible and now the crank would have to be turned .030 or .040 to work out. I do not want to waste all this time and money. Sorry to sob but I am starting to hate this car. Does anyone have a decent crank they'd sell for $150 or possibly want to buy a 87 GN that I've sunk about $20k into for cheap!??!!?
