My car is still pinging at Wot. My car Has never pinged untill I got the header welded on the passenger side and the valve cover seals fixed. Could the mechanic that did the work of put something on wrong?

I just put the factory chip back in( had 93 chip). Right now I have an upgraded fuel pump, adj fuel reg. and wastegate, opened exhaust going into flowmaster mufflers, and a 4 inch cold air intake.

I have a pressure/vacuum gauge and a fuel gauge.
I need a different adapter to hook up my fuel gauge but had it on long enough to set my fuel pressure at 42-43 with the vacuum hose off.

On the vacuum side of the gauge it idles at 18-20 and stays around 10-12 when driving. The needle however never reaches the pressure side of the gauge.

Any help is appreciated I am very confused on what to do next and the car is running very weak.
Thanks
Kyle Cook

Just a couple thoughts. Was the leak so bad that you now have more boost with it fixed?

Also, with a leak the 02 sees extra oxygen so it richens the mixture to try and compensate. If your computer is reset which I assume it is since you swapped chips, you are probably running a little leaner at WOT with the header fixed. While the computer doesn't monitor the 02s at WOT, it does lock into a certain cell in the BLMs according to the mixture just before you go to WOT. I prefer the chips that lock the BLM at 128 at WOT. It makes tuning much easier with fuel pressure adjustments.

Last, where is your vacuum/boost guage hooked into? It sounds like the throttlebody which is wrong. Maybe the mechanic hooked your fuel pressure regulator hose into the same place??

My header was cracked pretty bad and had it fixed about a month ago. I have been very careful with the GN, trying not to blow a head gasket.
I dont remember if the boost went up, but I have been over boosting and I think it was because of a bad original wastegate which I have know replaced.
It is hooked into the throttlebody. Where is the best place to T in at, and sorry to start a new subject but wire should the gauge be connected to so the light isnt on all the time?

put a T into your vacume hose going to your map sensor thats where i put mine..

turn your boost down sounds like yo are over boosting.. check all your vacume line conections too you may have something crossed or off... how does it idle?

T- into the MAP like was mentioned or fuel pressure regulator assuming it's run the right way. The T-body won't work because at idle it's under some vacuum and at WOT, it looses all vacuum but sees no boost.
