Stk turbo conv to T33c

I have an '85 GN and am considering upgrading the turbo to a T33. Is it feasible and /or economical to have the stock turbo fitted to T33 specs? A new T33c in Postons is $849 exchange.

Maybe I'm not understanding the question right but a 33 is nothing more than a stock turbo with upgraded wheels and the necessary machining on the housings to fit them. You can have your stock turbo upgraded to ANY size you want up to around the 62 range.
