Stock 84 vs. 87 turbo?

Is the stock 87 a direct change over to my 84 housing and how much more is the amount it flows??? Doing a complete rebuild on my 84 and would like a little more turbo without an arm and leg price tag.. THANKS.. mike

The 84 gn used a seal to handle the vacume of the motor since the throttlebody is mounted to it and the 87 does not see vacume, so it well suck oil from the center section. If you can even found a way to make it work.
