Pre 2 years ago the system was not charged.

2 years ago I replaced the dryer/condenser and the orifice tube and pulled a vacuum. It held for 24 hours before I charged the system.

I filled the car with Redtek 12A and it worked for the first summer. This year it seems to have lost some charge.

80f ambient 55-60% humidity.

temp at vents is 70 f

gauge link here - video of gauges with AC at max

I'm pretty sure the majority of the leak is from my 134a conversion fittings(to accommodate my gauge set).

I have a spare compressor. (four seasons, NIB).

Is there any indication of an issue with the compressor based on the video?

Should I charge the system back up and try it?

Should I drain and try to fix the slow leak?

I added 1 can of redtek oil when i recharged.

I am leaning towards fixing the known leaks and then charging. but if knowledge could be gained from recharging the system a bit more then I would be willing to do that.

I have to "recycle" refrigerant if i open the system so i cannot reclaim it. Also I'm pretty sure redtek 12a is just propane. which is fine. I just want cold air.

You didn't mention which compressor you're running. If you're still on the OE compressor, it's likely leaking out of the compressor itself. They will leak out the case perimeter. I haven't taken one apart, but I'm guessing from looking at them there's a giant O-ring that once it gets old, that's it.

The orifice tube could be plugged up. What plugged it would be the compressor eating itself.

Four Seasons was the bees knees once upon a time. Not so much anymore. If you bought it prior to 2015ish you might have a good one.

So, the solution is very simple, but also not fun.

Replace it all. New coil, condenser, lines, evaporator, drier, and the compressor. Fill it with R134. Don't mess with it again for another 30 years.
