How much boost does an all stock 87 make ? Thanks.

most stock 86-87 turbo regals make 14lbs boost give or take a pound

Thanks for the reply. I am getting between 12- 14 in first gear. It seems to drop of after a few seconds then go back to 14. Does this sound right? Thanks.

Yes, if you are getting knock.

Boost should stay rock steady and not drop on shifts.

It can be false knock (downpipe hitting frame, etc.) or real knock (not enough octane, fuel or a million other reasons)

but knock will cause the boost to drop, then pick back up when the knock goes away.
