Stock Cooler Line Fitting Size?

I just need to know what the thread size is on the end of the line at the radiator connection. Need to adapt for my external cooler. For this time, just going hose for now. So, i need to know the piece i need to go from this fitting to a barbed fitting to fit 5/16 id hose.

should be an ordinary 5/16 flare. Go to any trans shop and they will probably have a hundred of them laying around.

It's 5/16" tube.

Measure the OD of the tube (not at the flare) and it should give you that 5/16" number. Your 5/16" ID hose should fit right over it.

Get some tranny fluid rated rubber line and hook them up, double clamp them for safety.

Get the hose about 2 1/2-3" past the flared end and it should last 15 years or so.

Usually longer than the radiator.

I've used 5/16" fuel line successfully, I use fuel injection hose rated for high psi. however.
