whats the diameter of a stock DP?

with a caliper, I measured 2.5" on my stock DP.

the stocker is not mandrel bent, so in places it does narrow down to about 2¼, but if you're trying to do fabrication (eg, add a cat or test pipe), you should size it for 2.5".

I believe that it necks down to 2" od though just after the elbow. So *theoretically* its a 2" dp

There's a few spots on mine where it 'crimps" down to 2.35-2.40"

what's the intent & purpose here? if it's for fabrication, the DP is nominally 2.5". If it's trying compare vs a non-stock pipe, put it on a flow bench.
