Just curious what the advantage is to go with the LS1 Maf (with Translator) vs the stock MAF.. I do plan to go with the LS1 Maf soon but just curious what the advantage is over stock.
I did do a search but was unable to find a thread. Thanks in advance!! Roger

Our original maf sensors technology is obsolete. New school maf sensors do a better job at measuring air flow. Translators let the ls1 work in our cars and will give you something else to tune besides fuel pressure. ;)

With the translator they are able to cut the reading in half and read up to 510 gpm. Though the sensor still reads up to 255. The chip has to be programmed for this. The fueling under power is more accurate when this is done up to 510 gpm. It also flows a lot more air than a stock one. Fwiw hit 559rwhp with a stocker with one screen still in it.

OK makes sense now.. THanks for the information goood stuff. I have a LT1 Maf but will look for a LS1 maf. The car is not mine but want to make sure that everything works with what he has built at this point. Roger
