What is the stock stall on our converters. I am trying to verify as I bought a GN last August that was adverstised as "virtually stock" I am slowly identifying go fast goddies on it, some outdated, but nonetheless there. The converter is now in question. Thanks in advance.

Found this posted by Dusty in a thread about the same question:

The stock stall is around 1800 rpm at 0-1# of boost. So your re-stalled D5 is acting just as I'd expect it to. He is correct. A re-stalled D5 will stall 400 rpm higher than stock. I have never had a 12" stall higher than 2500-2600 rpm unless it had something wrong with it or it was terribly loose in high gear. If you want a stall higher than 2200 rpm I'd suggest going to a 10"
