Stock TR MAF mods?

Has anyone ever performed any internal mods to a stock MAF? (and still worked when done) Other than removing the screens.

The next step after removing the screens is removing the venturi. You have to have your chip burned to work with a maf modded in this way.

Its better just to junk it and switch to an LT1 sensor/translator.
