Stopping windshield from spiderwebbing...

I stupid rock chipped my windshield the other day...what do I need to do do keep it from turning into a big crack? It has a couple arms; they arent but .5" long.
I've already got a crack from top to bottom from a chip that was there when I got it and then, about a year later, it split

With the risk of two cracks, it is time to bite the bullet and replace the windshield. Call your insurance agent. They may have provisions for chip repair should it happen again.

I drop some superglue in mine when the chips are small before it cracks. A new windshield is always good if it has a crack in it like yours.
