When I start the GN (stock ignition) its weird, it doesn't "light-off" and start banging on all cylinders, it kinda whimpers to life with 1 cylinder firing then slowly the cylinders start to fire off and after about 3 seconds it rolls into running. Its very weird, a slow roll start, like the ignition system is a tiny candle trying to light the engine instead of a welding arc. New plugs did not help. I'm used to a high performance engine firing off like a pro stock car when it thunders to life. Ideas?

any chance the spark plugs are getting wet? I've had cars with barely blown headgaskets that will do that.

Or if it shoots black smoke when firing up it could be a leaky injector(s).

whats the fuel pressure when this is going on
if it takes a few seconds to build pressure this could be the issue
slow pressure build could be the pump is dying
,or
the pump is not priming on the fuel relay but rather starting off the oil switch

try turning the key to run (dont start ) and see what the pressure is and does it hold

i'd be looking at the fuel pressure... does it do it if you turn the key on and off a few times to cycle the pump and build up fuel pressure before actually starting it?

Was a loose crank sensor.
