Start the car up- idles fine. After about 5 min the idle slowly goes up to about 2000rpm and stays there. If I let it sit overnight I can start it up the next day and it does the EXACT same thing. I've changed every sensor and set them to spec. The only thing I haven't changed is the stock MAF. I don't have a SM yet so I don't have any numbers. Anyone have some suggestions??? Thanx - Scott

Sounds like TPS is set too high! Double check the TPS setting for .42 to .46 at idle. If the TPS is .5 or higher, it will cause your high idle.

Also make sure the IAC counts are 10 to 20 at idle.

Good Luck!

(1) Check for air leak in the MAF hose or pipe.

(2) Give the MAF a solid tap with a screw driver handle and see if it stumbes. Also wiggle the wires at the MAF plug.

(3) Try unpluging the MAF and see if idle changes.

No leaks in the MAF. I tapped the MAF and no difference. Unplugging the MAF results in no change- Plugging it back in while engine is running kills the motor.......Arghh...

Hey Scott, glad to hear you got it up and running :)

What chip are you using?

Do you have a check engine light light and ALCL Connector hooked up?
It will help you to see if the ECM is giving you any codes by jumping the terminals "A" and "B" (Key on , engine off)and reading the flashes.

Hey Paul..what's up?? I'm using the stock chip for now. I'd like to get everything running correctly stock before i go and f*&K everything up!! :D I still can't fix this idle problem. It's driving me crazy!! The truck is going to be hella fast. It "feels" like it'd be a mid to high 12 sec ride right now...I can't wait to get it in tune!!!
