your best bet would be to break out the sand paper, start with some 180 grit. Sure you can use some certian strippers but rember fiberglass is pourous. When I strip vettes and other fiberglass parts I just hand sand. If some of the chemical aka stripper gets into the pours of the glass when you prime or paint there is a chance of lifting. And it can really get bad when you bake the paint. But its up to you I have been doing bodywork for over 10 yrs. Good Luck
