I just rebuilt the engine in my 85 and it was running fine. I then decided to change the fuel pump, injectors, chip, and uppipe. Now, my car idles but I can hear it stumbling every couple of seconds. The map=7-8 and the iac is 0at idle and +or - 20 in gear. The injectors are 42.5 and the fuel pressure is 32. The car runs worse the higher I put the fuel pressure. If I put it in gear it will run till I hit the gas and than most times will die. If I feather it at first I can get going and it will drive with out stumbling but as soon as I hit the gas it loses power and stumbles horribly. I have new MSD wires so maybe its my coil pack. The timing also seems to be staying at zero even if I rev it. The only other thing I can think of is the uppipe because it doesn't exactly fit right. I have to tourque the bolts to mate the pipe with the turbo. There may be a tiny leak but I can't feel it. Maybe the pipe is messing up the seal of the turbo to intake? I sprayed wd40 around the seal and it seemed to idle the same. Somebody please help!!!!!

sounds likwe a vacume leak ... my car acted the exact same way.. and i had a cracked vacume hose so i changed all of them they all where hard and rotted) and it fixed the problem..

I don't think its vacuum because I replaced most of the lines. I am not ruling it out but I think it has something to do with the timing. Thanx 4 the help
