Technically just ignorant.

Duration is in crank degrees, lobe separation is in cam degrees, so what is unit for ground in advance, crank or cam degrees?

Thanks,
Tom

Turns out that it's a trick question. Yes, you can take the LSA minus the advance and get centerline. But that is in crank degrees. I finally figured it out and confirmed when I dug up the cam card, but no wonder it didn't seem apparent to me.

Or maybe I am still confused.

Tom

I believe you are correct. The only cam spec denoted in cam degrees is LSA, and grinding advance into the cam would do the same as indexing the cam advanced to the crank, which is in crank degrees. My mistake.
