I am wanting to build a new 3.8 or 4.1 for my turbo t and i was wondering about the stage 1 and stage 2 what exactly they are

I am wanting something that will run 11's on low boost and be streetable so what should I build

Thanks
Brent

you can do that with a 3.8 motor (109 block) but your gonna need a BIG turbo for that. If you want a 11.00 second low boost motor, build a motor capable of 10.00 sec. when at high boost. I should be at the 11.xx sec. mark on pump gas with the combo in my sig. I would think. Anybody agree??

does anyone have a build up of what the motor has to be for 10's on hight boost

Thanks
Brent

Here's the quick & dirty of my cars combo which has run a few dozen 11.4x@119.5 passes with a CPP street chip, xylene blend & ~22 lbs of boost... launching at 10lbs of boost off the footbrake & running 28-10.5-15 M/T slicks:

CPP competition shortblock w/ venolia forged pistons (9:1), CPP 206 cam, billet caps on the centers & a Race Jace girdle

refreshed stock heads with a good 3 angle valve job

te-61 turbo w/ pte .63 exhaust housing & 50 lb injectors

terry houston downpipe into a torque tech 3" exhaust system

Kurtz built tranny with a 3200 rpm stall Art Carr top-hat (9/11") converter

HRPartsNStuff rear control arms, 28 spline Moser axles & stock 3.42

With race gas, race chip & 25~26lbs of boost this combo SHOULD run solid 10.8's @ 120something. :)

I think he wants a combo in PURE street form (no xylene or additives, just plain old 93 or 94 octane)
