Sunroof parts help!!!!

Took the '86 gn to get the sunroof fixed tuesday. the guy says it needs a new weatherstrip and cables. he cannot get the parts from any of his sources, that all the parts are obsolete(which i knew and expected to be told).Have ordered a new weaterstrip from postons( hope they have it), but where to get the cables!!??
Can anybody please tell me how to and where to get a set of cables for the sunroof(astroroof, whatever you want to call it), i dont want to have to seal it shut and render it inoperable.
BTW this is the factory sunroof in the car, not an aftermarket add-on.

I dont have any parts to sell but the same astroroof was used in all of the RWD GM cars of the 80's if you go looking in the boneyards. I see the most AR's in the 79-85 ElDorados. The same years of Riviera are also good.
