One of the hydrolic shocks that lift my hood siezed expanded! Are these easy to come by as far as replacing? Would Autozone carry them?

I ordered mine of Ebay from some dude selling a bunch of them. Actually I think they may be a little too stiff. I wish I could tell you what the "spring" rate is

Mine got weak espescially when cold,
I dont think AZ had them but Kirbans and Johns Perf have them for like $34 a set

I would recomend installing one new hood strut to start with. I have noticed that replacing two can be too stiff.

Hey thanks for the advice. I checked the PN, and I'll probably pick one up tomorrow. I still don't understand why it siezed though, is there some kind of maintainence?

It got tired. Just gas and oil.

Try doing what Chris said, just replace one first. I replaced both and it now requires a hefty tug to pull the hood down. Sometimes I wonder if it's gonna buckle.
