I picked up a 3800 supercharger off of a regal, and I was wondering, can I purchase a regualr regal and bolt on the supercharger, or will it mess up the motor? Are the supercharged 3800 built differently internally than the regular? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

No, it's not that simple. In order to run the SC on the N/A engine, you need the TB, SC, harmonic balancer, fuel rails, lower intake, and heads, at a minimum. On the N/A engine, the injectors are in the lower intake. However, in the SC engine, they are in the heads.

To give you an idea for what is involved, a vendor has put together a L36 M90 kit:

I may have what you need

I've got a 3800 from a 96 Riviera that had a wiring meltdown. The motor is still in good shape, just that some of the plastic stuff is melted of course. The supercharger itself is sold, it was still in working order. So basically you just need to find a loaded injector rail. I believe a salvage yard in St. Cloud still has one, I called a few weeks back and they wanted 150 for the rail and injectors. I myself thought I would use this engine as an upgrade from a series I SC 3800 but I don't think I'll bother with doing it. If you're interested I'll sell it for 300. Let me know besides, you're not that far away. I live in Blaine. Call me- Brad Zeidler 612-708-8015

you'd need a larger diameter supercharger pulley...N/A motors are 9.5:1 compression
