I'd get a door push pull solenoid to throw the knife switch so you don't have to open the console. You could then use the household breaker in the ashtray to activate the solenoid. Seems logical to me.

Damn School Teachers in Minnehhahha are Smart :D

Now I don't know if you guyz are just messing with me or not.

It just seemed like a really cool idea to flip open the ashtray lid....then there is the beefy "*CLICK* from the household breaker....(eye on the in-dash 2 5/8 FP gauge in the radio hole).. I'd say *Bzzzzz* from the pump, but I installed that new DW pump. It's really quiet. Will fill a swimming pool in about 5 minutes, but it's quiet.

Not sure what I'll do now,but would like to eliminate the oil press switch, the ECM command of prime, the fuel pump relay and the Hotwire relay. Too much going on there.

Noone here would do that, we like forward thinkers!

There is a mini one that will fit in the ash tray opening. Mounting it low enough to actuate it and be able to close the lid will take a little work but in the end there's not much in life more pimp than a double knife switch.

Then again I have a 5 foot Jacobs Ladder in my living room (that really needs to be powered by a knife switch)

Give credit where credit is due. The real TB site originated this :D

First off you should learn the difference between AC theory and DC theory. Second a circuit breaker is a over current protection device. Not a switch. That means a circuit breaker is meant to protected equipment not to b used as a switch
