 As the camshaft turns

I think IC had a legit question initially, then was attacked for "always being the negative." When I read his reply I took it as jest. Ahh well, but what do I know.

Anyway, I would love to hear an answer to the stock internal question.

Thanks again Nick for trying to answer all these

Some food for thought about stock internals with the TA block....

Guys Bill from Champion has a Stage 1 3.8 Off-Center 2-bolt main block that has a stock turbo crank (pretty sure it's a TTA crank though) and he is also using stock rods.... He has been running in the high to mid 9 second range @140+mph for years with his full interior 3500lb TR.... The HP calculator says he must be making around 800-850hp to run those times with that weight so I would think the TA Off-Center block (which is a 6-bolt main block if I remember correct) would also be capable of this.... My guess is you will see somebody in the low 10 to high 9 second range with a stock turbo crank and stock rods using a TA Off-Center block (aftermarket forged pistons would be a must IMO) at full TR weight (3600-3700lbs).... Also, keep in mind there are a pretty good amount of guys in the 10's with a stock 109 block using the stock turbo crank and rods with good reliability! My opinion FWIW (which might not be much);) :)

That's right so shove off. Why in the world would we need you to chime in with more of your worthless banter? You obviously still missed the "first" comment AGAIN and really need to make an appointment tomorrow with the eye doctor. I think what is left of your noodle is going South!

That doesn't excuse your lack of manners or not acting civil.
It's just that simple.

Guys, this "wait and see" attitude is what leaves us waiting for parts all the time.No vendor wants to come up with a part just to have you wait for a guinnea pig to try it.Have some intestinal fortitude every now and then.Look at the picsof the thing. It makes a stage 2 look like a stocker. No wonder most of us are still in the 12s.I'm going for it and I'll be waiting for you in the 9s.And it will be done reliably. If its a bomb,so what! $3500 is really not that much.Ask anybody who has drove over a crank how much it cost to replace the shortblock, converter, transmission, etc. Then maybe an indestructible block for this price won't seem so bad.

I am beyond manners or acting civil. F-it!

Bruce,

You are like an old woman..... nag nag nag

Don't you have some attacks to levy on a Max-Effort thread so you can leave me alone?

Excuse me for ignoring the first part of your response since it's just another rude comment.

As for your second one,
Feel absolutely free to support your claims.
Please, name, one instance of where I **attacked** an ME.

All you have to do is act in less then rude manner, and I'll leave you alone.

As for someone going with the new block w/ stock crank and rods, that will be me. I already have one on order and am putting my stock crank and stock rods, forged pistons, GN1's, FAST, 83lb, 70 or 72BB, and a bunch of other stuff. As soon as I get the motor running and some times I'll post them up here.

ya'll sound like a bunch of women the way you B@tch. get back to the topic, it is kind of a pain to have to skip through all of your useless posts(this is directed to both sides of the bitching session)...

Too bad this thread has taken a bad turn. I'm going to shut it down.

If there are those that are still those that would like to keep the thread going, and in a positive, constructive manner, then by all means open a new one.

But this one is getting too nasty. I would have hoped one warning would have sufficed, but I guess not.
