I'm replacing the rubber seal no my t tops. Should the seal be glued in the track ?And there is this black goo in places is this factory or is this somebody's attempt to fix a leek

sorry i dont have the answer to your question, but were do you you buy the replacment seals at?
 
Some glue them, some don't (I don't - I wouldn't use glue unless you have to and only in the places where needed)

The "goo" needs to be there. It helps seal the seal to the body where there is no track to retain it.
