T Type rims

I am trying to restore my t type rims.I am degreasing them with engine degreaser and will attempt to remove the plastisol with "etching mag cleaner".How long should I leave the etching cleaner on the wheel to remove the plastisol before hosing the stuff off? What stuff should I coat the rims with to replace the plastisol? Thanks
