I bought a Steering Gear Box this week of Ebay (I know - don't shoot me!). The guy claims it came from a '87 Regal T-Type and that it is a close ratio unit identical to the ones in the GN's.
Of course, the next day I get the new Car Craft and they discuss swapping these boxes into '60s A-body cars - exactly what I am doing! They listed codes to look for, but of course this box was "detailed" (read - painted) and I can't see the code to verify what it is.
So, my questions are - did the GN and the T-Type share the same steering box by default, are they close ratio, and does anyone know if it is the same gear as in the Monte Carlo SS?
