Question for the experts.

I have a T66 ball bearing turbo with less than 2k in miles on it, on a brand new motor constructed by none other than myself. Firtst timer on this type of motor.

So anyway, I am having my bout of issues and learning along the way. Currently under full boost I am getting oil burning, my first thought was blow by. But I've run a compression check and everything checks out so I don't think this is the issue. I then went to the turbo for seal leaks. I grabbed the compressor wheel and I get a little play. I honestly think this is where my problem is. If this is the case, I hate to say it but this will be my second center section and I am wondering is there something special you have to do to keep these things alive?

I know on my eclipse I have a bb turbo which they don't recommend much oil pressure on due to blown seals, so does the t66 require a restictor? What am I missing, I have another brand new center cartridge sitting in the garage but before I put it on the car I need a better understanding of what might cause this thing to fail.

FYI my first one failed due to a faulty electronic controller that bought on severe surge under full boost.

Any advice is appreciated
