TA to TE interchangeability?

I have a TA62 that has wheel damage and EVER so slight compressor housing damage (small area with a little scoring). If I were to find a TE62 in decent shape, I should be able to swap my TA housing onto it, shouldn't I? Any idea what effect, if anything, the slight scoring would have? It may be a couple of thousandths deep, and I would polish it. Thanks,
