TA33 specs

I am new to this game of turbos. I saw the thread on the differences of the stock 84/85 turbo when it is side by side with the TA33 turbo. The issue is I just purchased an '85 engine that will be installed in my '62 Buick Special SW, and the guy I am bought the engine from says that "I was told that it was a newer upgraded Turbo." I have not seen the engine yet, as it was a blind purchase but is said to be complete wiring harness and ECM included. Does anyone know the measurements of the openings of the compressor side and turbine side of the turbo from the stock compared to TA33 so I can figure out what turbo is actually attached to this engine. Also if anyone here knows how to tell the two of them apart in a different manner that be great too. Hopefully I didn't buy a boat anchor. Thanks for the help. ~Dan

The TA33 supports the same compressor wheel as the TA49 (T04E-60 trim).
The TA49 has a T3-76 Trim turbine wheel and I think the TA33 has the same wheel. found here-

Thanks for the information. I probably won't be lucky enough to have the turbo be a TA33. I'm sure it will just be the stock, but thats fine for now..... It will be a while before I have to worry about power. There is plenty of fabrication to be had prior to power adds. ~Dan
