how much should i be paying for a good used one. I cant afford a new one but would like to upgrade soon, or i have an 87 housing modded to fit an 85, would it be better going that route, what turbo then.

I would guess between $400-$600 depending on the condition. I do not know the differences between the TA 33 and the stock 86/87. I have heard that there are some issues in mounting but they have een overcome by others. The problem will be locating a used TA33C. Good luck- Brad

hmmm 400 is kinda at the top of my limit, if you hear of anything please let me know. i know the stock one can be rebuilt to ta33, about how much and who does it. just wondering if cheaper to rebuild a stocker or look for a used one converted?? Thank you and will have many more questions soon as i start the project.

Postons sells a TA33C for $850. I had mine built by Limit Engineering for $930. Precision makes the TA33C as well. Try Jays GN as well but they advertise it as a TA49. A TA33C is a stock 84/85 turbo machined out to handle the TA49 compressor setup. The cfm pickup is from around 390 to 700 and a 30-40 HP pickup. Not cheap at all. Good Luck- Brad

I forgot- If you can find a blown TA33C cheap-Precision charged me $330 for a rebuild. Brad
