Hi,

Either in good condition would be nice. Some people seem to prefer one over the other - I'm not too picky. Something that works OK with stock stall, in reasonable condition - I'd rather not rebuild it if possible as I'm on a budget.

It sounds like I need a downpipe to match as well? Looks like it would be possible to weld one up if there were some details on how to build the wastegate actuator portion. Probably easier to buy a used one though.

Thanks,

Mike

I will be taking off my PT51 once I get my 4.1 running with my Turbonetics 61...don't know how long that's gonna take though :frown:

Your downpipe will work fine with a 44, 49, or a PT51, I am still on the stock downpipe with mine.

Hi,

It will take me a while to finish the engine and put all the pieces that are laying around in unmarked boxes back together.

Will a PT51 work with a standard stall torque converter? I though it needed a bit more stall? I'm converting an 85 hot air to intercooled, I think the location of the turbo has to change - which I think means I need to pick up a used downpipe.

When do you figure you'll be doing your upgrade?

Thanks,

Mike

te44 inj and chips

I have a te44, 55lb injs, and 2 turbo tweak chips for this combo I would part with. I bought them to go on my tta and decided to keep it stock. Let me know if you're interested.

i have a te44 with about 3500 miles on it, and a brand new wastegate actuator on it, it has polished housing and never smoked and worked well with stock converter. let me know thanks

I'd steer clear of the 51. More lag than the 44/49 and more potential issues. I heard of a lot of 51s failing.

PM sent to those that replied. Thanks for the info on the 51 sweet6, it looks like it needs ~2800 stall.
