Does a Ta61 have the stones to get a 121/122 mph for a 10.99 e.t. given my listed combo on a good day.I'm trying to stay around 25psi boost.

Thanks for the input.

I run a TE-61 and I ran 11.01 @124+ with a lousy 1.706 60'. Boost was 27# and timing was 26/22 with 93 + methenol.

on my old motor.

I went 11:17 @122 MPH and a 1.50 sixty ft. This was with a TA-61, Champion irons, V4 SLIC, 91 oct and razors alky. I was pushing about 22 lbs of boost. Timing was 23/22. Just watch your tune. It's not that hard.

11.25@121mph with TE60, 23psi, 23*, 1.73 60ft. The 61 should get you there with a good run.

Can somebody measure the exhaust exducer of a TE61? I have a turbo that was said to be a 60, but the exhaust wheel looks bigger to me. I have a TA49 here, and the 60 should have the same exhaust wheel in it, but it is bigger. I am thinking I have a 61.
Sorry for the highjack.

A friends car ran 10.90's with a TA-61, home ported heads, stretch intercooler and a PTC 2800 stall converter, 206/206 cam. It will take more than 25# to do it though.

Ta61

Forgot to ask those who responded before if they were running "open dump" or closed exhaust?

I went 11.11 @ 120 in BG with a TA 61. the rest of the combo is in my sig. Still running the stock long block and D5 converter. Actually got better 60fts with 009s. Like 1.55s. This was at 29-30lbs of boost on c116 running fat.

My run was with Cottons SS duel exhaust. Also, forgot to say that this was with an old 206/206 Kenne Bell hyd flat tappet cam, and 275-60-15 MT DRs.
