Tach hookup

My 86 GN has the very basic digital dash. Speedo,fuel, and trip odometer..............yippeeeeee! I have an Auto Meter mini tach I'd like to use but I'm not sure if I can use in on distributorless ignition, and if I can, how would I wire it up?

i have the same crap dash, green connector behind the alt. run the green wire from the tach to it. also do a search on "tach" tons of info
