Tach light?

Looking for a 1987 T Type. While surfing/shopping on the Net I saw a couple that had a red flashing light in the right lower dash gauge cluster while the car was just sitting there. Maybe it was idling or maybe just had the lights turned on. Don't know which. Is that the tach light? If so, why would it be flashing? Thanks

After time they tend to get flaky so ya pull ‘em out &send them to Casper’s for a rebuild.

"Maybe" it's an old alarm light from the 1990's.

How hard is it to get to & replace? Lots of stuff have to be removed?
