Is there a wire behind the dash I can use to pickup a tach signal or must I go underneath the hood? Thanks.

the easiest way is under the hood -- there is a little green connector behind the alternator that looks like something should be plugged into it; hook onto that and either run a wire through the gromit or drill a hole through the firewall (what i did).

Thanks.Thats what I thought but I guess mine is dead as I stuck the wire into it and nada. I guess ill try cutting the connector off and twisting the wires together to see if itll work.

There are two places you can pick up the tach signal. The easiest place is the diagnostic connector located behind the alternator. You can also tap off of the white wire connected to pin "B" on the quick disconnect connected to the back of the tach/boost gage in the dash.

Thank you sir.

If Your Using A Vdo Guage To Pick Up The Tach Signal From The Green Connector Behind The Alt. You Need The Upgrade From Caspers To Upgrade The Signal. It Wont Read Rpm Without It.
