Anyone have a adaptor to reposition the throttlebody when reclocking the turbo for an intercooler kit? Or a pic of one and I'll make it?
I purchased a "supposed-to-be" Spearco intercooler kit from a fellow boardmember for my daily driver '84. Besides it not being a actual Spearco kit as advertised its missing the adaptor and one pipe. I came out of $450 back at the end of January and have been stuck unable to install the parts that I did receive. Of course no response from the seller in the last couple months. Someone put in some work to fab up the intercooler and pipes. The work actually looks pretty good and the intercooler is a bit larger than the Spearco. However right now its a waste of my money. So if anyone can help, it would be much appreciated. Only other thing I can think of is selling the parts I have to someone who would want to play with it and I guess I'll just eat some of the money I already spent. Im just tired of $450 sitting in my basement for the past [almost] 10 weeks!

I can help you in any of the metal fabrication if need be. I got a shop with all kinds of fabrication equipment. Let me know,

Nathyn

You don't have to have the adaptor. If you don't run it, you'll have to lengthen a couple vacuum lines but going from memory, that's all you have to do.

Thanks Nathyn.

cool 84, without the adaptor to realign the TB when the turbo is reclocked wont the accel cable, TV cable, cruise cable, vac block, etc all be angled/cocked in some goofy way?

It'll be angled a little but not that bad. Everything will fit except for a couple vacuum lines. It doesn't look bad and it beats trying to find an adaptor. Personaly, I would move the TB to the pressure side and not worry about the adaptor. You'll do it eventually, once your car won't idle right.
