TC lock up question involving ALDL and scanmaster

Ok, i tried manually locking up the converter by jumping the ports on the ALDL, it wouldn't lock up or at least it didn't feel like it did, does having the scanmaster hooked up stop that from happening? i don't want to cook my trans to death!! help!

Is there any way to bypass all the BS with the ECM and brake switches and stuff? just run whatever wires need to a switch and be done with it?

Also i have a Thrasher 92 chip no stutter no theft, does it lock up the converter or no? IF the chip doesn't lock up the converter even if i jumped the ALDL is the converter suppose to lock up even with no signal from the ECM/chip?

The ALDL jumper only provides a path to ground for the TCC solenoid. You need to verify that you have 12V at the solenoid. (It passes through the brake switch.)

thanks, i did a search after i posted that question, guess i should've done it the other way around lol
