Which is better gm oroginal or aftermarket solonoid,I know they have a habbit of sticking,thanx in advance

GM is best. The aftermarket one I saw you have to crimp all your own connectors on. Don't know about you but I don't like crimped connections laying in trans fluid!

From what I understand, the 700r4 unit is the one to go with, you have to space it though because it is longer.

The 700R4 solenoid is better. You can usually pick up a kit that comes with 1/8" spacer studs. Get one for a 89 Chev truck with a 350 cu in engine.
