I bought a new TCI transmision and I'm looking for any advice on the install. I have the stock converter. Any advice or hints on thing to do, or watch for would be very much so appriciated.....

I would recommend getting the t/c flushed if you are re-using it and also flush out the cooler and lines. Also put a couple qt.s of fluid in the t/c before you install it then put 4 qt.s in the tranny start it for 30 sec. and then add another 4 then start checking and top it off.

Heed Mark's advice, it's right on. Also, be sure your TV cable is hooked up and adjusted properly before test driving the car. Lastly, don't hesitate to call us if you have any additional questions or concerns - 662-224-8972.

We appreciate your business. :)

I want to thank both of you that responded for your info. I'm kind of new to this board and with this type of car, but I think this is one of the best message board around. I order a new TV cable today and should be picking up some fluid later this week. Is it ok to run synthetic right away?????

thanks again

No problem with the synthetic. The transmission was run-in here on a test machine with Dexron of which there is still some residual left over in your new transmission but you'll be fine.

Also, it's a good idea to retorque the pan bolts after the transmission is installed. The pan gasket compresses some while the transmission is sitting on the pan in the box.
