Is this enough stall for my TE45a??? It seems kinda slow up until 10psi and then it just breaks loose and goes wild.....should i have my converter restalled to maybe 3500 or 3800???

TIA

Most guys use a stock converter with the TE45. When the turbo spools, doesn't it spool all at once? Within a split second of my turbo spooling it's at 20psi. And I have a larger, slower spooling turbo. With a stock converter.

Question is do you have a TE45 or a TE45A? The TE45 can use the 3200 stall if I'm not mistaken. The TE45 has a 63-64mm compressor wheel. The TE45A has a 66mm compressor wheel.
You will need approx 3400-3600 for the TE45A from the people I spoken with. I have the latter of the 2 and have been researching this for awhile.
Berman.........I think you are mistaking the TE44 which can use a stock convertor. The 45's will require something significantly looser.

did you skip your coffee?

te-45 is much bigger than a pt52..

wish i could answer your question...i got my lt70-1 sitting here waiting to put it on my car and try to figure out what stall i want before sending my 9-11 out for restall..mines only 2800 now.

i kinda wanna get a feel of what rpm the boost takes off from a punch from dead stand still.

3400-3600. Anything less will most likely hesitate at low loads before it takes off. My 9/11 is more like 3800 and works well.

I have a TA63 (TA45, not the TE45), and I have a 3000 Vigilante.

1.5's is easy. If you are leaving off idle, expect lag. Leave with boost and you're fine.
