What kind of times have you guys pushed out with the TE60 Turbo? Give me some of your combo's with em too.

I've got a TE60 sitting at the house and a stock turbo on the car now...my mods are in my signature and the times are with the stock turbo i'm curious as to what kinda times I could expect thanks! Oh and Now i've got a built trans coming from Brian and a 3000-3200 stall LU converter from Pats. I can drive and Tune the car well

I did alot of reading on this about 6 months ago..... most people running them had gone low 11's. I saw a few dipping into the high 10's. I believe there is a thread or two floating around on this....

FWIW, when I had the TE60 on my full weight TR with 42.5# inj. self ported stock valve heads, Cartech frontmount it went 11.19@119+. Car was 3655# with me in it.

Those running TE60's..... what were you running with the stock turbo before you put the 60 on......

I am trying to figure out when I get my stocker in the 11's ...... how much quicker I will go when I bolt the TE60 on.... with no other changes besides alot of tuning.......
 
With stock converter will probably run slower becasue of lag but have more mph..with a good converter you might pick up a lil not much just changing turbo only..I dont think you can usually just change a turbo & pick up alot without tuning & playing around with it to find the right spot for launch..boost etc for that particular turbo..I bolted on a 51 turbo & of course slowed down..added a front mount & picked back up to about where i was stock..the lag is not too bad at all but would do alot better with a lil converter..do a search for username buickman69 ..he has a te60 & 3k converter..ported heads & said he ran several 6.80's in the 8th..might want to give him a shout & see..good luck

TE60 here…90 in the 1/8 and 112 in the 1/4. Get a bigger exhaust housing for your TE60 (about $180) and you’ll get more HP out of the TE60. You have plenty of stall.

I was running 7.8s at 90 in the 1/8 with the stocker, bolted on a TE6031E (the 31E exhaust is the same as the TE44 exhaust wheel) and ran a 7.23 @ 95 with just some fuel tuning. That was with 24 degrees of timing and 25# of boost on C116. Same tune as with the stocker just more fuel at WOT for the TE60.
 
Damn 7.23... I'm running consistan 7.8's and a sometimes some 7.7x's @ 87 or so...Now that was with stock intercooler...stock injectors....stock trans/converter....now i've got

TE60,PTE superstock location intercooler, 3200 stall and a built trans... I'd love to see some 7.1x's in the 1/8th if I get 7.0s i'll jump for joy
 
7.8s with the stock IC then you are doing better than I was, my 7.8s were with a CAS V4 stretch IC, basically all the mods in my sig I had when running the stock turbo and 7.8s.
 
Yea, I've done alot of reading and I have a pretty good grasp on tuning these cars. I think I can squeeze some 7.2's though the 1/8th and 11.5's- 11.6's with the new stuff I've got.
 
my best is a 1.44 60ft, 6.98 @ 100.5 in 1/8 and 10.61 @125.5in 1,4.with te60,gn1's,msd 50lbs,hemco plenum,ported intake,precision roller,eastern front mount intercooler,2 airbags,southside machine liftbars,no front sway bar,and mickey 28.5 x 10.5 slicks and a th400.

Great times! What was your race weight? Battery in the trunk? What was the launch boost/rpm? How big of a cam? What RPMs were you shifting at? What RPM's do you come through the traps?

Again..... damn good times for a 60.
 
had the car on the scale once with me in it and it weighed 3580lbs if i remember right. stock location battery, boost was around 17lbs at 3700 rpms,car runs 20lbs max boost,cam is still a budget roller at 210/210 duration and gross lift is 475/475, shifting at 5800 and going through traps at 5600-5700. haven't ran car this year yet so rpms might be a little off. also i removed the air conditioner so it's easier to change head gaskets when they blow. turbo and injecters are maxxed out so its time to go bigger.
 
With a stock motor (never even had the heads off) I went 11.80-12.00's@110-112 all day on pump gas (21psi).

50's, ATR double pumper, V2, Art Carr 9", ATR DP

Car weighed 3250 without me in it. 60'd 1.6's all day on 275/50 BFG DR's.
 
i was running mid to low 12's at 115-118 mph, alchy and 25lbs of boost 26* timing
