I just finished putting a Turbo V6 Buick engine in my 96 Impala SS.
I've never owned or driven a Turbo Buick before.
I just started driving it today.
I currently have a hose going straight from the compressor to the wastegate actuator (I want to keep the boost down at first to be safe).
When I floor it I get about 12 psi boost.
It does not feel fast at this boost level.
Is that normal?
What boost level will it start to feel fast? 15psi? 18 psi?
I'm used to the feeling of the Impala running low-mid 15 second quarter miles.
Also, going up a hill at half throttle the boost is between 8 and 10 psi. Is that normal?
My current modifications - TE61, THDP, single 3" exhaust, Thrasher 93 octane chip, 50 lb injectors, Walbro 340 fp, Accufab AFPR, stock intercooler, 9" K&N filter, 9" 3000 stall art carr non lockup, scanmaster.
